Cahaya, a pesantren girl, goes to Jakarta in search of his father, Syaiful, who leaves home when Cahaya is four. Arriving at the capital city, Cahaya finds that her father is far removed from what she has expected. It turns out that Syaiful earns money as a transvestite at night, by the name of Ipuy. Together the two of them roam the streets of the city all night long, trying to re-discover the ties that have long been missing.
